Fantasy Bird Design
This design was painted on a 8″ round plate and was a project from a club workshop.
The bird design was first penned in, fired and then on subsequent fires colour was
added to the bird.  The background was painted with a pale chestnut colour
and enamel work was added to the bird.

Hibiscus Flower with Border Design
This design was painted on a 9″ round plate and was a project for a club workshop.
The design was first penned in, fired and then on subsequent fires the solid areas were ground, colour applied to flowers and leaves, and finally gold added to some areas.

Oriental Fan Design
These two designs were painted on 8″ square plates and were for a project for a club workshop.  The same design has been used with different colour combinations.
The design was first penned in, fired and then on subsequent fires colour was added
to the design, enamel worked penned onto the fan, and finally pen work
using gold matt medium was applied to the design.

Birds, Flowers & Leaves Design
This design was painted on a 10″ round bone china plate.
The design was first penned on, fired and then on subsequent fires colour
was added to design, background was ground and Silky Matt Gold was ground
around the border rim and penned onto certain areas of the design.

This design was painted using pen work and pointillism.

Dutch Windmill Plate
This 10″ round bone china plate was painted in 2011.
The design was first penned, fired and then .
After this paint was applied to give tonal value.
The plate did require several fires to achieve the desired effect.

Multi Flower Plate
This multi flower design was painted on a 10″ round bone china plate.  It was featured in the July/August/September 2011 issue of the Porcelain Artist magazine which is published by the International Porcelain Artists & Teachers, Inc. The design was first penned and then fired.  Colour was applied to the flowers to get the desired effect using a selection of blues and turquoise.  The background was grounded using a dark blue.

Multi Flower Design
This was the original plate that I used the about design on.
The flowers were penned and then colour applied to the flowers.
The inner background consists of penned dots
and the outer rim has been ground with a gold metallic paint.
