Dahlia Flower Design with Ground Background
This design was painted on a 8″ round plate and was one I did from a club workshop.
The flower design was first penned on the plate and fired. After this the base colour was applied to the flower and fired. The background was applied using black grounding. Once this was fired, shading was was applied to the flower petals.
Azalea Design with Multi Ground Background
This design was painted on a 8″ round plate and was another one I did from a club workshop. The design was first penned on the plate and fired. After this the background was applied using a multi ground of several different colours. Once this was fired, colour was applied to the flowers and in the background area leaf shapes were painted.
Open Roses and Lustre Design
This design was painted on a 10″ bone china plate. Several techniques were used, such as, soft technique, pen work, lustre work, grounding and base for raised gold.
This modern designed plate was painted on a 10″ bone china plate using soft technique.
This particular plate was painted for a 50th Wedding Anniversary Gift for family.
It was painted on a 11″ round plate.
As this design was an experimental piece I did paint this 10″ plate
as a trial piece first before undertook the larger plate.

The background has been multi ground on the first two fires.
